MTN Nigeria has unveiled a new rewards scheme that allows subscribers to earn redeemable coins when they carry out selected transactions through its myMTN NG mobile application.
Known as MTN Loyalty Coins, the initiative is designed to give customers additional benefits when purchasing airtime, subscribing to data bundles and using other qualifying services on the platform.
Introduced in partnership with Bvndle, a Loyalty-as-a-Service company, the programme allows subscribers to accumulate coins and exchange them for various products and services through the Bvndle marketplace.
Each loyalty coin carries a redemption value of ₦10, while people using the myMTN NG app for the first time will receive welcome coins after downloading the application.
The rewards are spread across three major categories. Telecommunications benefits include airtime and data subscriptions, while everyday essentials cover services such as bill payments, food and grocery purchases.
Subscribers can also access lifestyle-related offers covering health and wellness, fashion, books and entertainment.
MTN Nigeria’s Chief Marketing Officer, Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka, said the programme reflects the company’s commitment to recognising customers who increasingly rely on digital platforms to manage their everyday activities.
She added that the initiative supports MTN’s broader ambition of promoting digital, social and financial inclusion while ensuring subscribers receive more value from their interactions with the company.
Also speaking, the Acting Managing Director of Bvndle Loyalty Limited, Ikechukwu Nwaguru, said the collaboration would give customers access to a wider merchant network while creating opportunities for businesses to strengthen customer relationships and increase transactions.
The introduction of MTN Loyalty Coins adds another dimension to the telecommunications company’s digital services strategy, as it seeks to make its mobile application more valuable to subscribers beyond airtime and internet purchases.
