Cristiano Ronaldo made his return to Al-Nassr action in style, scoring as his side cruised to a 4-0 victory over Al-Riyadh in the Saudi Pro League.
The Portuguese superstar was named among the substitutes but was introduced after the interval as Al-Nassr looked to complete a comfortable victory.
Ronaldo wasted little time making an impact.
Just 21 minutes after entering the pitch, the veteran forward found the net, scoring in the 83rd minute to complete the scoring and take his career tally to 977 goals.
The goal leaves Ronaldo just 23 strikes away from 1,000 career goals, a landmark that has become one of the defining targets of the final stage of his playing career.
The forward had entered the new season with 976 career goals after his involvement with Portugal at the 2026 World Cup.
His goal against Al-Riyadh therefore marked his first competitive goal for Al-Nassr this season and another step towards the extraordinary milestone.
At 41, Ronaldo continues to demonstrate his ability to influence matches despite being carefully managed by Al-Nassr.
His latest appearance also comes during a season in which the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has indicated could potentially be his final campaign in professional football.
