Two stolen vehicles have been recovered and returned to their owners in Kano following intelligence-led police operations, the state police command has said.

The command disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday by its Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.

The recovered items, an orange Vibe car and an ash-coloured Haojue motorcycle, were handed over to their owners at the command headquarters in Bompai, Kano, after the necessary documentation.

According to the statement, the recoveries were made through intelligence-led operations, although the command did not disclose further details about the thefts or the circumstances surrounding the recovery of the vehicles.

The beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the police for recovering their properties, describing the handover as a demonstration of responsive and people-oriented policing.

The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, congratulated the owners and said the recovery aligned with the policing vision of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, which prioritises the protection of lives and property and the restoration of stolen items to victims.

Bakori assured residents that the command would sustain efforts to improve security across the state and ensure that recovered properties were returned to their rightful owners after due verification.

The command urged members of the public seeking information about recovered properties to contact the investigating police officer on 08140081608 or visit the office of the police public relations officer at the Bompai Police Headquarters.
