Nigerian social media personality and relationship influencer, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has apologised for her past comments about other people’s suffering, admitting that she now understands the pain she once dismissed.

Okoro made the emotional appeal in a video shared on her Instagram page on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, where she was seen crying as she reflected on her personal struggles and the criticism surrounding her previous statements.

The apology comes amid public attention following the death of her nine-year-old son, Bryan, and the controversies surrounding her personal life.

In the video, Blessing CEO admitted that she had spoken carelessly about experiences she had never personally encountered and expressed regret over the impact of her words on people who had experienced similar pain.

She said she was sorry for discussing other people’s suffering without fully understanding what they were going through, adding that her personal experiences had taught her a difficult lesson.

“I’m so sorry for speaking about the pain I know nothing about. I’m so sorry for speaking about the pain I’ve never felt. I’m sorry for speaking about it carelessly,” she said.

The influencer acknowledged that genuine remorse required more than verbal apologies, noting that actions were more important than promises.

She said that she was ashamed of some of her past conduct and had come to realise that mistakes carried consequences.

“I’m realising that talk is cheap. Action speaks louder than words. I’m so ashamed of myself, but I’m human. I’m bound to make mistakes, but mistakes also have a price, and I’m paying for it with my own tears,” she added.

Blessing CEO appealed to those she might have offended to forgive her, describing herself as emotionally broken and exhausted by the weight of her experiences.

She also apologised to supporters who had stood by her despite the controversies, as well as those who had withdrawn their support because of her actions.

Reflecting on her relationship with her family, she likened her return home to the biblical story of the prodigal son, saying she was ready to acknowledge her mistakes and begin again.

A significant part of the video was dedicated to her late son, whom she affectionately called “Doom Doom”.

Addressing him directly, she said she missed him deeply and regretted not being present before his death.

She also disclosed that the loss had continued to affect other members of the family, particularly her mother and the deceased’s brother, revealing that they sometimes hid from one another to cry.

Blessing CEO further recalled her desire to retrieve her son’s school bag, uniform, lunchbox and books, describing the items as reminders of the child she had lost.

Her apology has now brought attention on her controversial public statements, particularly her previous comments about the late Bimbo Ogbonna, the wife of businessman IVD, which attracted widespread criticism.

The influencer ended her emotional appeal by asking for prayers and expressing hope that she could make amends and overcome the difficulties surrounding her life.
