The Professional Footballers’ Association has unveiled its Premier League Team of the Year, bringing another layer of recognition to the standout performers of the 2025/26 campaign.

The season produced a number of individual achievements, with Arsenal winning the league and Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes setting a new assists record.

Fernandes finished the campaign with 21 assists, surpassing the previous Premier League benchmark and becoming one of the defining attacking players of the season.

His contribution was recognised by both the Premier League and the PFA. He won the Premier League Player of the Season award before being named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year at Tuesday’s ceremony.

Arsenal’s title-winning campaign also produced several individual standouts.

David Raya was one of the league’s strongest goalkeepers, recording 19 clean sheets to claim the Golden Glove.

Gabriel Magalhães helped anchor Arsenal’s defence, while Declan Rice provided control and physical presence in midfield.

All three Arsenal players were shortlisted for the PFA Players’ Player of the Year award, highlighting the strength of their campaigns.

Elsewhere, Erling Haaland remained among the Premier League’s most prolific forwards, finishing the campaign with 27 league goals and claiming another Golden Boot.

The PFA recognition comes as the Premier League moves into a new season.

Arsenal have already begun their title defence with a 3-0 victory over Coventry City, while Manchester United have also started a new campaign under manager Michael Carrick.

For the players selected, however, the PFA Team of the Year represents the final verdict on a season that produced some of the Premier League’s most memorable individual performances.
