INEC says it is preparing to audit its electoral technology and may conduct a mock presidential election as it tackles funding concerns and AI-powered disinformation ahead of 2027.

INEC has denied replacing candidates submitted by the Nigeria Democratic Congress for the 2027 elections amid concerns over the names appearing on the candidates’ list.

The NDC says nine names published by INEC for Anambra State Assembly constituencies were not among candidates nominated or submitted by the party.
