Victor Osimhen continued his remarkable goalscoring form with another brace as Galatasaray defeated Erzurumspor FK 4-0 in their second league match of the season.
The Super Eagles forward was instrumental throughout the game, scoring twice and providing the assist for Yunus Akgün’s goal.
Galatasaray took control early when Roland Sallai opened the scoring in the 12th minute.
Osimhen then turned provider before finding the net himself in first-half stoppage time to give the visitors a comfortable 3-0 advantage.
The striker completed his second-half brace in the 80th minute, putting the result beyond doubt.
The performance came just days after Osimhen scored twice in Galatasaray’s opening league match against Çorum FK.
He has now directly contributed to five of the club’s six goals in its first two league fixtures, scoring four and assisting once.
Galatasaray will hope the Nigerian striker can maintain his exceptional form as they continue their title defence.
