Two Children Among Four Killed in Gaza as Israeli Military Operations Continue

At least four Palestinians, including two children, were killed in Israeli strikes and tank fire in Gaza on Monday, hospital officials said, highlighting the continuing risks faced by civilians despite diplomatic efforts to contain the violence.

The reported casualties came from several locations across the territory.

In the Bureij refugee camp, a strike on a building killed a four-year-old boy, according to Awda Hospital. His mother and sister were injured.

Further south, hospital officials said a 10-year-old girl was killed by tank fire east of Khan Younis.

Nasser Hospital also reported that an Israeli strike in Khan Younis killed a man and wounded five others.

The Israeli military said its forces had conducted strikes in the Shati refugee camp and Deir al-Balah against Hamas-linked weapons facilities. It said evacuation warnings had been issued before some of the attacks.

The military did not immediately provide a response to every reported casualty. It also said it was not aware of the incident in which the 10-year-old girl was reported killed.

The violence comes as international efforts continue to preserve a ceasefire and push the parties toward a broader political settlement.

The latest deaths are likely to increase pressure on both Israel and mediators to prevent further escalation and protect civilians in the densely populated territory.
