Four defendants have been sentenced to death after a landmark kidnapping trial before Edo State’s Special Criminal Court, marking a major judgment for the newly established judicial panel.

Eleven suspects, including an Islamic teacher and four alleged kidnappers, were paraded by the Edo State Police Command following arrests linked to intelligence operations.
