2027 Polls: Remo North APC Inaugurates Grassroots Campaign Structure

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Remo North Local Government Area of Ogun State has stepped up its grassroots campaign preparations for the 2027 general elections with the inauguration of a 10-ward campaign structure and the deployment of public address systems to the wards.

The campaign council was inaugurated on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the APC Secretariat in Isara Remo, bringing together party leaders, campaign officials, political office holders and representatives from the 10 wards to establish the local government’s campaign operations.

The newly inaugurated council comprises Directors and Committee Chairmen tasked with coordinating campaign activities and mobilisation across the 10 wards.

At the inauguration, party leaders urged members of the campaign structure to strengthen grassroots engagement, improve coordination and sustain communication across the wards as the party prepares for the 2027 elections.

The development also saw each of the 10 wards receive a newly branded public address system. Hon. Chief Adebiyi Adeleye presented the equipment, which organisers said would support ward-level campaign meetings, mobilisation activities and communication with party members.

The campaign council is expected to coordinate the APC’s local government campaign activities in support of the party’s candidates for the presidential, governorship, Ogun East Senatorial District, Remo Federal Constituency and Ogun State House of Assembly elections.

The event featured speeches, goodwill messages, prayers and the presentation of campaign materials and branded caps to participants.

Among those in attendance were Dr. Hon. Babatunde Adejare, Secretary of the Ogun State APC Campaign Council; Deacon Yinka Adeleye, APC State Executive Officer; Chief Kolapo Ogunjobi; Prince Niyi Akinsanya; Hon. Adesoye Oyekan; Otunba Muyiwa Sodade, Chairman of Remo North Local Government; and Prince Dapo Odunsi, immediate past chairman of the local government.

Also present were APC Remo North LGA Chairman, Prince Akeem Ajibola, and Hon. Kola Dickson Awolaja, a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly representing Remo North.

Other party figures and community stakeholders included Hon. Chief Solomon Osho, Esq.; Otunba Dare Odufowokan; Hon. Koye Ijaduoye; Apesin Taiwo Jowosinmi; Hon. Foye Sofodu; Otunba Muyiwa Sobambo; and High Chief Olakunle Olalekan, the Lisa of Orile-Oko.

The campaign leadership was represented by Hon. Lekan Folarin, Campaign Director-General; Hon. Yinka Soyemi, APC LGA Secretary; Hon. Segun Jolaosho, Leader of the House; Barr. Kunle Sorinola; and Hon. Akin Arikawe.

The inauguration also attracted serving and former councillors, APC executive officers, youth and student leaders, religious and traditional leaders, artisans, union representatives and community groups.
